THE LETTERMAN JACKET

 

One of fall's biggest outerwear trends, the letterman jacket, definitely is an example of how the classroom can actually influence the highfashion-runway. Well, some of you stylish athletes out there likely already have a vasity jacket in the back of your closet, but I didn't. After a long and  unsuccesfull search for the perfect varsity jacket, I finally found the jacket of my dreams in the children's wear departement of H&M :) 

You can either pair your varsity jacket with romantic pieces or more casual ones. I opted for casual boyfriend jeans, a cosy beanie and college-style heels.

However you choose to wear this sporty jacket, wear it with confidence like the winner you are ;) !

 Sweatshirts are back into fashion and fashion girls are now rocking the branded versions from Kenzo to Mango (like the one I'm wearing). This fashion turn that takes our coziest couch-ware outdoors definitely has my vote ;)

FLOWER CROWN

I think every little girl dreams about wearing a flower crown and sometimes big girls dream of that too ;)

This flower crown made me feel as if I'm a little girl again running through the fields picking flowers. 

Well, I think I'm not gonna wear this flower crown on a daily basis and I may be wearing it at home more often, just to make things a bit more whimsical. Flower crowns definitely make things more fun.

While trying on this flower crown for the first time, the lyrics from ''After the Storm'' by Mumford and Sons immediately crossed my mind, the lyrics go : ''....... And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears. Get over your hill and see what you find there, with grace in your heart and flowers in your hair."

MAKE IT EASY

There's no easier way to get the wow factor than with a maxi dress. Maxi dresses definitely are a must-have in summer and satisfy all requirements for a summertime staple: comfortable, cool and totally easy to combine with. I love this gloriously blue maxi dress.

SUMMER AT HOME

At the moment I'm at home in Carinthia, enjoying the breathtaking and unique landscape with high mountains and all the wonderful lakes. Spending part of my summer holidays at home, meeting all my friends, doing lots of sports, enjoying quality time with my family and totally recharging my batteries, all this make my holidays pure enjoyment. Anyway, I'm already looking forward to my next trip in a few weeks. (✈ destination: an extraordinary beautiful island with golden sandy beaches and crystalline waters ✈)

WHAT TO WEAR ON HOT SUMMER DAYS

I finally managed to solve the problems here on blogger. At the moment it's incredibly hot over here and the warm weather brings with it a whole set of problems that make us long for the days when picking between a Twinni and a Jolly ice cream was our biggest dillema. Specifically, the problem how to dress for a sizzling hot summer day, while also looking put-together and stylish. I always try to choose easy dresses made of cotton and non-synthetic materials or shorts combined with loose tops.

I chose this easy Zara dress and combined it with some colourful Forever21 and DIY bracelets a few days ago.

PERFECT SATURDAY

On Saturday we started our day with a stroll at the local market, something I love to do on Saturdays. This amazing scent of all the different sorts of food, the big variety of different food from local vendors and vendors from the Alps-Adriatic region. We bought different kinds of seafood and vegetables and later prepared a delicious dinner.

My outfit was rather simple, a white lace dress with silver and grey accessories and ANNY- true love on my nails.

 Due to the hot weather, I opted for a simple outfit on Friday-my new KITSCH BITCH T-Shirt (one of my Fashion Night-purchases), simple jeans shorts and neon accessories.

the18thdistrict meets Adriana Karembeu

On Wednesdy evening the18thdistrict together with the Vienna Fashion Night Team picked up Adriana Karembeu at Vienna International Airport. Adriana Karembeu and Werner Shreyer were this year's star guests of the VFN which took place yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by Adriana Karembeu, who is really nice and gorgeous. With her big blue eyes, the full lips and her leg lenght (125cm) there is no doubt why this lovely lady turns heads.

The outfit I chose was rather similar to the one of yesterday's post, I wore the same jewellery and feather vest and combined them with grey long pants, a white blouse and dark blue heels.

I'm still waiting for the pictures of Adriana and me, as a photographer took them with his camera, but I'm gonna upload the pics as soon as I get them.

BLACK JUMPSUIT

It's Jumpsuit-Time again;) Jumpsuits are so comfy and you are dressed with only one piece, I like that.

Yesterday I decided to wear one of mine, a short and simple black one. When doing my manicure a few days ago, I felt creative and decided to color my nails in different blue shades. I love this multi-color nail trend! Wearing different nail-colors together is a fun way to express your creativity. It's a very versatile look, you can create either a subtle variation or an eye-popping contrast. I chose 3 different shades of blue, as blue is my favorite color, Chanel Blue Rebel, Chanel Riva and Chanel Nouvelle Vague. Experiment with your  favorite colors and find your own combinations ;)

GREY OUTFIT

Grey and beige shades definitely are my colours. For this outfit I chose my grey-beige ZARA trousers (already part of this post), a silver blazer and studded Steve Madden boots. The cheerful accessories in combination with the studded boots topped this outfit off perfectly.

CREAMY OUTFIT

I finally found some grey-beige trousers that perfectly fit and even better, I found them at ZARA ;) They've got an amazing ornament-pattern and they feel really pleasant next to the skin. I wore them in a very easy combination with a light-beige t-shirt and a neon-orange bracelet. I love to pair statement necklaces or bracelets with easy outfits.

BUTTERFLY FRIDAY

The weather changed over here again , it is quite cold outside, so I decided to wear some colourful pants in combination with a casual parka and a printed t-shirt. I love the butterfly print on the shirt.

TOMATO SOUP

TOMATO SOUP

It's really easy to make your own homemade tomato soup and I bet you didn't know it won't take you more than 45 minutes. There's a trick behind the perfect tomato soup....At the end of the day they might sell off tomatoes cheap down at you local market, these tomatoes are just perfect and will make great soup. If you can't get these, buy them a few days before you need them and put them on the windowsill to get ripe.
